The Movement Mindset

Our mental health is strongly linked to our physical health. How we care for our body physically directly impacts our cognitive ability and mental state. Now, across many western countries, sedentary work and recreation is commonplace. Adults simply are not moving very much in their day-to-day life. And for some adults, they grew up in a sedentary households, so they have never experienced what a lifestyle full of movement looks like, and more importantly, what it feels like! If you are someone who relates to this, imagine having more energy and vigor for life, sleeping better, and feeling happier more often. Increasing your day-to-day movement can do all of these things. Moving more helps our body’s many biological processes, from hormone production to digestion. Consider adding more movement into your daily routine. These movements do not have to be complex. Simply walking more does wonders for a person’s body if they are generally very sedentary. You can explore more and more movement patterns in time, as you feel comfortable.
